Posted August 15, How does this square with the notion that there is a super black hole at the center of every galaxy? My main fear, as agreed with quantumleap, is that many members may take such “theories” to be actual doctrine before studying things out in the mind and also by the Spirit, and base their beliefs upon evidences that may prove faulty, and also which are not required in our belief to be exalted. But again, we are not sure. Address astronomical findings that do not jive with the theory.

These maps were made to show how certain Christian doctrines are symbolically part of the world. If we are based on these simple doctrines, the “deep”, “hard” doctrines are actually quite plane and theroem to know.

Not just of the truth of the Book of Mormon, or that Jesus did in fact atone for the sins of us all, but any truth, ‘the truth of all things’ as the scriptures indicate. We tend to use it to refer to God the Father, much in the same way you explain it. It unabashedly goes after the most ambitious claims of our theology. Of the vast systems beyond the comparatively small company under control of our own sun he knows little beyond the fact of their existence.

Usually the map is represented with Asia east on top. For example, Hilton claims that the dust lanes in the Galaxy act as a veil to both protect the Earth from the intense heat of the celestial oklob located at the core of the galaxy and also to block the earth from visual contact with God.
Things on this earth are patterned after, or even descended from, heavenly originals, and we can understand heaven in part by studying this earth.
It is a moving and touching scene that has brought many tears to many eyes. Another Mormon theory attempts to explain away the use of the Egyptian funerary texts in Joseph Smith’s translation efforts.
He may also be incorrect about this galaxy being God’s. I really enjoyed this read for a new perspective on old principles.
