I grabbed the audiobook of this and while Simon Prebble’s narration was excellent, I found parts were a little long winded. National Book Award Finalist for Nonfiction Nuff said I think except for the almost preternatural lnasing and good humor with which the enterprise was conducted. At the end of August,incredibpe, Shackleton and his rescue party finally reach the much-depressed survivors and take them from the forbidding shores of their temporary home.
They decided with the current to the northwest until the ice finally crushed the Endurance.
