He begins and ends paragraphs abruptly, often after a short sentence or two. Shapiro comes out swinging with a lot of good talking points. I hate reading liberal propaganda, and this was the same type of propaganda, just written for the other side.
He comes across as a flaming neoconservative, which came as a bit of surprise to me because I have seen him try to distance himself from the neocons in recent writings. He sure has improved through the years! Which is fine, but again, not for everyone.

Sep 15, Smitty rated it did not like it. He also writes hypocritically, because he vrainwashed the left for constantly demeaning and insulting the other side but he wrote the same way, more in the style of an opinion column than a book. He is incredibly smart and yet never condescending.

Terror, Lies, and the Whitewashing of Omar Khadr. I did however enjoy it. He preaches to the choir without making an effort to persuade or argue his thesis. Also, there’s more than a little accidental humor when he sporadically complains that liberals paint conservatives like himself with too broad a brush.

I found it embarrassing, but likely true. Though many of the quotes he cites cross the line from criticism to treason, his analysis admits no weaknesses in the U. I would have given an extra star if it wasn’t for the tinge of attitude Shapiro likes to use but you can honestly understand his frustration over the changes in university life the last 20 years or so.
